Unfortunately, that is not the case. We have received an official update from Los Angeles County Parks &amp; Recreation that they are extending the mandate for no special events at this time. This means we are not able to host the 5th annual SPACEROCK Trail Race on October 10th.<\/p>\n<p>We are deeply saddened as this is a very special race that everyone loves, but we also want to support ending this pandemic as quickly as possible. We can&#8217;t be foolish or stubborn when it comes to people&#8217;s lives, with hundreds to thousands of people that are a part of our events, the welfare of participants including runners, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, family, and crew is always a priority at our events. After careful review and fitting into our packed 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/newglobaladventures.com\/races\/california\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">race<\/a> schedule, the 5th annual SPACEROCK Trail Race will be postponed to <strong>October 16, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All registered entries will be carried into the new October 16th date and registration will continue to remain open for the 2021 date. If you are not able to make the new date, you do have the following options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change to virtual and earn the race medal and swag in the mail<\/li>\n<li>Defer to 2022<\/li>\n<li>Cancel and receive 50% credit towards any future event of ours in California within the next 2-years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alternatively, if you wish to earn the awesome 5th-anniversary SPACEROCK Trail Race medal, shirt, and space bag now you can change your entry or <a href=\"https:\/\/spacerocktrailrace.com\/register\/\">sign-up<\/a> to run a virtual race.&nbsp; We will begin shipping out virtual packets within the next month.<\/p>\n<p>Submit request or for questions please&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/spacerocktrailrace.com\/contact\/\">contact<\/a>&nbsp;us at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:run@spacerocktrailrace.com\">run@spacerocktrailrace.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We realize this is an inconvenience for many runners just as it is for us as we have poured so much effort and cost into preparing for the race only to have this COVID-19 pandemic force it to be postponed. These are extremely challenging times for us and we sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and support as we work through this pandemic to get back to hosting our awesome races. We sincerely miss seeing all of you, our race family brings us so much joy at every race.<\/p>\n<p>New Global Adventures would not have made it over the last 5-years without the tremendous amount of people in the community that has been supporting us year after year. Your success at our races has been our success and we cannot overstate our appreciation for all the love and understanding we have received. We love our races as much as you love to be a part of them, we are in this for the long haul and plan to create awesome race experiences in the community for many years to come.<\/p>\n<p>Stay healthy, run long, and thrive.
